Receptor targets
CB1 (low affinity; reported antagonist in vitro) · CB2
Mechanism of action
A positional isomer of THC with the double bond shifted to the C10–C10a ring fusion. In-vitro studies report lower CB1 affinity than Δ9-THC and, unusually, CB1 antagonism for both epimers.
Reported effects
Common terpenes
Research
Rarely present naturally; typically a semi-synthetic isomerisation product from hemp CBD or Δ8/Δ9-THC, and a common impurity in Δ8 material. Human pharmacology is largely unstudied.
