Cannabinoid

CBGA

Cannabigerolic acid
C₂₂H₃₂O₄ 360.49 g/mol Non-intoxicating (precursor)
Typical abundanceminor
Receptor targets

Biosynthetic precursor — negligible direct receptor activity

Mechanism of action

The 'mother cannabinoid': the acidic precursor from which the plant's synthase enzymes build THCA, CBDA and CBCA. Most is converted during growth, leaving little in the mature flower.
