CBDVA

Cannabidivarinic acid
C₂₀H₂₆O₄ 330.42 g/mol Non-intoxicating (raw)
Typical abundancetrace
Receptor targets

Cyclooxygenase (COX) inhibition reported · low CB affinity

Mechanism of action

The raw acidic, propyl-chain form of CBD (CBDVA decarboxylates to CBDV). Found in propyl-rich chemotypes and reported to inhibit cyclooxygenase enzymes in vitro.

Reported effects
Anti-inflammatory (preclinical)
Common terpenes
Research

Preclinical; of interest chiefly as the biosynthetic precursor to CBDV and as a marker of propyl chemotypes.
